Brad believes it is important that we maintain (and improve upon) our state's transportation infrastructure while being mindful that the transportation sector constitutes a significant amount of New York's greenhouse gas emissions. We can strike a balance by investing more heavily in public transit, enhancing the state's bike and pedestrian networks, and increasing the number of electric and other zero emission vehicles on the roadways.

SUPPORTS increased funding to the MTA Capital Program in order to maintain and expand our rail, subway, and bus systems.

SUPPORTS large-scale federal infrastructure projects that will move the New York City region more efficiently, such as the Cross Harbor Freight Tunnel and the Hudson River Tunnel Project.

SUPPORTS legislative measures to fulfill New York City's "Vision Zero" initiative, including stiffer penalties for reckless drivers, requiring large trucks and buses to be equipped with side underride guards, and requiring the use of seatbelts by taxi passengers.
